This week i had the pleasure of being a guest on the Awesome Podcast. If you have not checked it out yet, then you should!!!!!
Well this weekend i have had the pleasure of colouring the work of Chris Imber (@RECKLESS_IMBER).
For a laugh, and as people are often requesting to see how i tend to colour i thought i'd record this one.
Now everyone colours different, and there are not right or wrongs, this is just how i choose to do it. :)
Hope you enjoy.

New Website Launched
The new Evil Kat website is now live. Have a look through the portfolio, browse the online shop, and if you’re really desperate then trawl through the blog.
Annoyingly my old portfolio website was severely hacked and caused me to take it down and create a completely new one.
It turned out to be for the best though as since then I have been involved in so many projects that I refactor the site to highlight everything I’m involved in.
Browse through my flagship comic Descending Outlands, check out The Red Mask From Mars, also have a look through work in the portfolio sections.
Each section allows comments to be added to please let me know your thoughts, or also use the contact form to send me you questions or comments.
Finally, I am also available for hire, so if you have work for me or want to collaborate on something then use the contact form to let me know.

Created by Kenny Groom, "Upstarts" is a space adventure following an unlikely group of heroes in the not-so-elite unit known as the Unconventional Police, Search, and Rescue Team (UPSRT).
They do not solve crimes. They do not detect, nor ask questions. The UPSRT, or, “Upstarts,” eliminate the perpetrators of crime with extreme prejudice. Victims caught in the crossfire are considered collateral damage and population control.
In preparation for their kickstarter, i was hired to colour the first 3 initial pages.
You can see more details version in the portfolio.

The second issues of The Red Mask From Mars has now officially been launched.
Created, written, and drawn by Vincent Hunt (@jesterdiablo), and coloured by me, Red Mask follows the adventures of astronaut Doug Stewart who, after getting an alien stuck to his face, develops amazing powers and protects the world from alien threats.
It's an amazing, fun, action packed adventure full of alien punching joy.
For more information check out the RED MASK FROM MARS section of the website, view images from our portfolio, or pop to www.theredmaskfrommars.com to find out all the latest information and purchase a copy.

With Thought Bubble coming up and a new set of Descending Outlands to be printed, i thought i would get some A5 postcards printed up as well.
Been working on a few colours from artist that i think just look amazing. Here's a teaser of a few of them!
Well i have received great feedback from people, and also some great reviews about Descending Outlands. Check them out on the website!!!
Well, what can i say? Melksham Comicon was amazing!!!!
The whole event was not only fun and gratifying, but also well organised and made me feel like a celebrity rather than an indie newbie :)
It was a busy couple of days, where i managed to talk to and see some amazing people. Thanks to all that purchased, or even took a nose at, the first issue of Descending Outlands. Almost sold out of the first print run. Geeze!!!
It was also a pleasure to share the experience of my first official con as a creator, with my broheem Vincent Hunt. (Creator of The Red Mask From Mars - not read it? Do so NOW!). It was also good to catch up with old friends and watch the master that is Jon Lock, dance :)
It has given me the bug and so look out for plenty of Con appearances form me next year. Next off is Thought Bubble in Leeds on 14th November :)
Also got some coolio sketches draw from the amazingly talented Dani Abram and Ian Matthews. Be sure to check out their comics Worry Wart and Razor Hawk!
The countdown begins. Only 6 more days until Melksham comicon and the official release of my comic Descending Outlands - Issue 1
Well the comic is completed and as scary as it is i have given the printers the go ahead to print the issues and posters ready for the Melksham Comicon Release on 30th August.
I have finally finished colouring the first issue of Descending Outlands and its looking REALLY good. Even if i do say so myself :)
Have also sorted the cover, banners, and posters ready for its release at Melksham Comicon on 30th August.
Now its over to my good friend, Vincent Hunt (of Red Mask From Mars fame), to start lettering the beast as i work on the chapter separators.
Well the The Red Mask From Mars has gone down amazing well with everyone and is a piece of work that i am both proud to have been involved with and proud of its creator, Vincent Hunt (Jester Diablo).
As such i have uploaded a few of the pages to the portfolio section, so take a ganders and feel free to leave any comments :)

This colouring malarkey has taken far long then I would have liked, but then I suppose as its by baby I am being overly critical.
Still it is a pleasure to be colouring such gorgeous artwork. :)
Below are a few examples of how it’s going, and have already sent a few pages over to the amazing Vincent Hunt (Jester diablo) who is kindly lettering the thing for me. - Incase i haven't plugged it enough, check out his comic The Red Mask From Mars. Its rather good :)
Working on banners and posters as well ready for the big launch at Melksham comicon on August 30th!!!!
